The Viking Yurt's custom-designed sleigh, exclusively crafted for this purpose, comfortably accommodates up to 32 people. Its thoughtfully arranged seating positions face each other, fostering an optimal party atmosphere throughout the ride.


While on the sleigh, consider choosing the same side for both the ascent and descent, allowing you to savor both perspectives. One direction unveils a magnificent vista of snow-covered trees reaching towards the sky, while the other provides a captivating view of the twinkling city lights and the distant mountains.

Ensuring your warmth and comfort during the chilly night ride is of utmost importance. While we highly recommend dressing for cold weather by wearing a warm coat, gloves, and hat, we understand that conditions can be unpredictable. Therefore, to help provide a comfortable experience, the Viking Yurt provides soft blankets with wind and water-resistant backing. For those seeking the utmost protection from the ever-changing winter weather, the heated cab within the Snow Cat accommodates a maximum of eight people.


It's worth noting that the sleigh ride is exclusively available to Viking Yurt dinner guests. As part of this extraordinary package, the sleigh ride serves as the prelude to an exceptional dining experience within the Yurt itself. (Regrettably, the Viking Yurt does not offer sleigh rides as a stand-alone activity without the accompanying dinner.)   • Regarding dinner, what if I want to come up later or come down earlier than everyone else?

    Regrettably, we are unable to accommodate late arrivals or early departures due to the limited availability of our resources. With only one sleigh and snow cat at our disposal, it is necessary for all participants to ascend and descend the mountain collectively.

  • What should we wear for the sleigh ride?

    Your sleigh ride will be outside in the beautiful Park City snow, followed by dinner in our heated yurt - so dress appropriately in warm winter layers (coat, hat, gloves, boots, etc.) and under that, nice clothes that you will be comfortable in for the rest of your evening. If dressed for the conditions, the sleigh ride up and down is an enjoyable adventure. 

  • Can you accommodate wheelchairs?

    With pleasure. Let the office know in advance so we can organize it.

  • How many people fit in the sleigh?

    Our maximum capacity is 40 guests. The sleigh holds 32 people and the cab of the snowcat holds another 8 people. Our business license and our contract with Vail Resorts requires that each person has their own seat, with belt buckled, regardless of age or size. 

  • Is there a public restroom at the meeting place?

    Yes. We highly recommend that you arrive early enough to avail yourself of this modern convenience.

  • Do you close in case of bad weather?

    We do not close for inclement weather. However, we make every effort to keep people warm and comfortable on the ride up and back.
